Sadie Amara Calvano has become popular for her role as Violet Plunkett that she played on the CBS show Mom. Calvano is a native of California, was originally interested in gymnastics competitions. However, she later made the decision to go after a job acting. In 2010, she was first seen on screen in an episode from the CBS show 'NCIS.' The biographical crime thriller film J Edgar was her big screen debut just a year after. Over the years, she has established herself as one of the most promising young actresses in the industry today. In 2011 she won an award for a Young Artist Award nomination for the Best Actress on a TV Series as in the role of Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013, Calvano was selected again to receive an award called a Young Artist Award. This was for her performance on Disney XD's 'Kickin' It'. Calvano was an integral part of the cast of 'Mom' in its initial three seasons, and also made several appearances in the final season. Her outing in 'Mom' garnered her the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in 2015.
